During my tenure, the council as made water a priority and stopped kicking the can.

I could go on and on about the many projects that are top of mind and this doesn't even touch the waste water projects. Hardly any of this was moving forward in 2021.
Leander's relationship with CapMetro was a true mess in 2021 so Council agreed that the voters needed to decide again whether to remain a partner. In May, 2022 Leander did just that with a majority of voters opting to continue as a CapMetro member city. My role as the suburban city board member was and is to create a true partnership and

Is the relationship perfect? No. There is still work to be done and the good news is I will continue to have our voice heard. Public transit will be crucial to a Leander with 225,000 citizens so a vote for me is a vote to continue the good work.
Being able to move traffic around the city requires lots of planning and the process can be frustrating. This council has supported several projects and issues that had been stonewalled in prior years.

Keep the projects going on time and on budget. We need to keep our eye on the prize. We can't be the city we want to be without the infrastructure to support. Spring, 2027 is key!
Continue to work with regional partners to maximize funding and find creative solutions to move people around our city efficiently.
We broke ground on May 29th!! Shovels are in the ground. Drive down Municipal Drive and check on the progress! This was a project voter approved in 2016 and a campaign promise made and delivered.
We need the right person to be CEO of Leander. Council is actively working to make that happen. We have a solid staff and now need someone to actually lead.

Primary employers, light manufacturing, retail, office are looking for ready to use space. With new leadership in our city manager, our team will be better focused on pursuing these efforts. In addition, we have developers now building the space.
